The One Jacket You Need This Fall Doesn't Actually Have Sleeves — PHOTOS

It seems a bit counterintuitive, but this winter, the one look you have to try is the sleeveless jacket trend that makes a serious nod to menswear. There's a reason Solange, Dakota Johnson, and Julia Roberts have all been rocking the tuxedo-esque trend: It's incredibly chic. The structured look often gives off a vibe of power and strength, and the sleeveless tuxedo jacket is no exception.

The beauty of the sleeveless jacket is arguably its layering potential. In the late summer, it's a great piece to throw on over a slip dress, while in the fall, it provides just the right amount of warmth over a long sleeve shirt. As for the winter, placing it over a sweater and under another wool coat will provide ultimate warmth. I mean, how many pieces of clothing in your wardrobe actually work all year long? Shout out to Victoria Beckham for being one of the first to kick this trend off.

This past year, longer silhouettes took the fashion world by storm, thanks to the minimalist trend. So it comes as no surprise that my favorite sleeveless jackets run on the longer side. One of my favorite looks to pair with a sleeveless jacket is a cropped sweater and matching midi skirt. Or a long sleeve shirt, leather trousers, and your favorite white tennis shoes. No matter what you throw on top or underneath, this piece is pretty much guaranteed to add a touch of structure that'll pull your entire look together.

Before the winter months hit, make sure to pick up one of these sleeveless jackets.

If you want to layer like a boss this A/W season, invest in a sleeveless coat, of course! It'll then transition you into spring with ease.
