Selena Gomez Gives Collars A New Spin

When it comes to her sartorial choices, Selena Gomez rarely shies away from a bold move, even nailing airport style like it's her job. And at the City of Hope 2015 Spirit of Life Gala on Nov. 5, she did it again. Selena Gomez's attached collar dress pretty much stole the entire show, and gave the collar/turtleneck look a whole new meaning. Excuse me while I find a way to rock this style tomorrow.

From jumpsuits to matching separates to mini dresses to her gorgeous red carpet gowns, there seems to be nothing Gomez won't take for a spin. Remember her white cutout gown at the "China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala? I certainly do. She's always got a slightly editorial edge to all of her looks, and I'm digging it.

At the Gala, Gomez rocked a white mini Ulyana Sergeenko dress with a deep V neck and attached collar. Hello, gorgeous. There's something almost '70s about her look, especially in the way that she paired it with strappy Charlotte Olympia heels and David Webb jewelry. I love, love, love the bell sleeves and asymmetrical buttons, too. As for her hair and makeup, Gomez went with an up-do with a middle part and a bold, red lip. She nailed it, y'all.

While attached collars like this one are a bit hard to find in my experience, fear not: You can always use a collar or choker to achieve a similar effect. Below you will find some dress and jumpsuit options as well as cuffs that'll allow you to play with Gomez's gorgeous look.

So while you may not be able to get her exact look, these options are pretty close. Or, if you're a DIY-er, find a fabric store, pick out some lace, and make a collar yourself. It'll definitely be your favorite statement piece. Trust me.
