Elizabeth Banks Makes Floral Look Edgy

Some Hollywood starlets just have a natural talent for transforming ubiquitous fashion trends into something fresh and unique. Elizabeth Banks wore a floral dress to her appearance on The Tonight Show Featuring Jimmy Fallon in New York on Thursday, but you better believe this was no ordinary flowery frock.

The 41-year-old opted for a fitted knee-length dress with a crew neckline and wide straps. The pretty piece was covered entirely in delicate flower appliqués in varying shades of white, pink, blue, and yellow. The coolest part of the dress, though, was the thick piece of black lace that was set atop her chest, kind of like a bandeau.

The actress rocked a pair of black strappy heels that mimicked the lace pattern in the dress, further contributing to the edgy factor of the look. Her hair and makeup were kept soft to accent the elegance of the florals. Her blonde locks were styled in subtle waves with a center part, and she flaunted rosy cheeks with a pale pink pout.

While floral print may be considered a timeless style, it can often look pretty boring, IMO at least. Banks' version, although, added an unexpected touch that totally transformed the look.

Feast your eyes on the fabulous ensemble.
