Amal Clooney's Co-Ord Is Naught-Meets-Nice

by Kali Borovic

It makes sense that one of the most powerful women in the world also happens to have the most fabulous fashion sense, whether in the workplace or during her free time. Amal Clooney wore a crop top to Charlotte Tilbury's Christmas party, and it was anything but basic. This outfit is the perfect way to look a little bit naughty and a little bit nice at your next holiday party.

Leave it to Clooney to look completely classy, even at a so-called "naughty" Christmas party. She started the season off right by making not just one, but three difficult trends look so easy to nail. Rocking metallic fabric from head-to-toe, the lawyer wore wide-leg trousers with a collared button-up crop top that'll you'll have to see to believe.

If I were wearing this outfit, I'd probably look like an '80s pop-star wannabe, but Clooney simply slipped on a matching metallic pointed-toe heel and looked flawless. Her crop top played nicely into Tilbury's naughty party theme, but Clooney's styling was certainly more on the nice side. She kept her hair down in loose curls, added a little more sparkle with her earrings, and kept her makeup subtle with a bronzed eye shadow and a berry lip. There's no better time to shine than the holidays.

Clooney's outfit might be a little intimidating to try and pull off, but there are super simple ways to get inspired by it while making the look your own. Matching separates are one of this year's biggest trends, so it only makes sense to bring them out this holiday season. Here are some Clooney-esque outfits to get you in the "naughty but nice" mood.

1. Holiday Colors

Well-Suited Red Two-Piece, Lulus, $59

Just because you're not wearing metallic doesn't mean you won't stand out. Slip a green necklace on over this bright red crop top and you'll have holiday style in the bag.

2. Classic Black

Crepe Knot Top Set, Boohoo, $35

With the perfect crop-top detailing, simple has never looked more sophisticated.

3. Patterned Skirt

Make your two-piece outfit a little more dressy by swapping the palazzo pant for a skirt instead.

4. High Waisted

Palazzo Pant Set, Go Jane, $29

The high-waisted pant gives this silhouette some retro appeal.

5. Super Sparkly

Sequin Midi Set, Urban OG, $24

Because glitter and the holidays are a match made in style heaven.

6. Two-Piece Illusion

Divine Jumpsuit, ShopBop, $213

This might look like your average two-piece, but it's actually a jumpsuit with a strategically placed jumpsuit.

7. Exaggerated Pant

Palazzo Pant Jumpsuit, ASOS Curve, $119

If you're looking to keep it comfy, a super flowy and exaggerated palazzo pant is the way to go.
