Even though we are well aware of her statement-making style, this actress never fails to steal the show with her risky choices, which make her stand out and give her that unique edge. Thus was the story with her latest ensemble. Lupita Nyong'o rocked blue lipstick at the Stars Wars: The Force Awakens premiere in London Wednesday night. Paired with an embellished black midi dress by Proenza Schouler, the blue lip color was absolutely gorgeous against Nyong'o's skin, and worked with the intergalactic theme from the film.
Ever since she made her Hollywood debut in the film 12 Years A Slave, Nyong'o has been proving she's way beyond "red carpet for beginners" level. The 32-year-old actress consistently wears gorgeous ensembles that always have a certain wow-factor to them. Whether it's a flowing dress in a bright color, or a red caped gown, Nyong'o is well on her way to becoming a style icon. That is, if she's not there already! Her most recent look certainly proves she's worthy of the title. From her accessories to her dress to her makeup, the whole look is stunning and utterly original, like the actress herself.
But enough babbling — here is the outfit in all its glory.
The black long-sleeved dress with an embellished skirt and fringe is feminine yet futuristic. Her dangling, silver earrings added to the sci-fi inspired look, and also stood out as her main accessory.
Nyong'o did not hold back in the slightest when it came to makeup. She wore a bluish-purple lip color that really added to the overall outfit, and her hair was collected into a bun and then embellished with a sheet of mesh fabric on top.
While this look may not be everyone's cup of tea, to me, it shows how beautiful and confident Nyong'o is.
Fortunately, this isn't the first absolutely breathtaking look Nyong'o has worn to the recent Stars Wars premieres. This sparkly ensemble from the Hollywood premiere had cut-outs and an open back.
This silver gown Nyong'o wore in Mexico City really summed up her unique, feminine style. From the sexy leg slit to the metallic shade to the belted waist, it was all amazing.
And for the Star Wars Force For Fashion Event, Nyong'o looked chic and lady-like in a black A-line midi dress with killer heels.
This woman has got style. Here's to many more premieres for this actress!
