Emma Roberts Wore Red Slippers

Christmas is tomorrow (seriously, where did the time go?!), and while red is typically the color of the season and all, Emma Roberts wore a pair of red slippers, according to The Daily Mail, and showed us all how to make red chic all year long. This outfit is a little bit retro, a little glam, has some whimsy, but is still fresh, modern, and even festive. Serious slay.

The Scream Queens star did some last minute Christmas shopping in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and wore a pair of bright red shoes that were A) completely adorable, B) appropriately festive, and C) totally channeled Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. I might be biased because it is my favorite movie of all time, but these are the cutest shoes I've seen in a long time.

Roberts's shoes were slipper-style with a small chunky heel, and were the perfect shade of red to pop her more neutral ensemble. She paired the bright shoes with capri flared jeans, a black and white polka dot silk blouse, black oversized sunglasses, and a black bag. It was retro without being too dated, and helped add a little holiday cheer into her outfit.
