Erica & Adonis Bring Real Issues To 'Newlyweds'

Newlyweds: The First Year is filled to the brim with newlywed drama just by its very nature. I mean, who doesn't want to watch two people straight out of the honeymoon fumble through their first year of marriage on national television? Sign me up. In the third season premiere, airing Jan. 3 on Bravo, viewers will meet four extremely newly married couples. One of those couples happens to be entering into marriage with a boatload of drama already. On Newlyweds: The First Year, Adonis and Erica Gladney have to work through Adonis' premarital transgressions, which should make for an extremely emotional, dramatic arc for the pair. Of course, there's more to know about this couple than the issues they'll be facing this season.

According to Bravo's bio, Erica is a real estate agent and apparently has the patience of a saint. You will see why shortly. Adonis is an entrepreneur and unfortunately starts the marriage out on kind of a sour note. He admits to his fiancée that all of those times that she thought he may have cheated on her? Yeah, he did. The best part is that he says all of this three days before their wedding and with a smile on his face. Watch the tense conversation in the preview below.

I did a thorough stalking job and it appears that these two are really lacking in the social media department. Whatever accounts I found for them were either private or only had one entry in them. These guys are not easy to track down.

What we do know, however, is that Erica and Adonis met about six years ago at a party and have been together ever since. It appears from the clip that Adonis has been cheating for a while, and admits to cheating specifically with sex workers and strippers. The worst part of it seems to be that he honestly doesn't seem too remorseful while he confesses. That's a big bomb to drop on someone and he does it while remaining shockingly cavalier. But this is all based on a brief preview of the clip, and we'll surely get to know both Adonis and Erica much better as Newlyweds: The First Year progresses.
