10 Most Memorable People's Choice Awards Looks
The red carpet is where wild, statement fashion happens. From Jennifer Lopez's down-to-there cleavage and Jennifer Aniston's cane (really), the looks are anything but predictable. Here are the most memorable People's Choice Awards red carpet looks.
The People's Choice Awards recognizes the people and work of American pop culture. It started in 1975, and anyone and everyone shows up. Actors, musicians, comedians and artists of all kinds are awarded based on votes.
The red carpet is a bit more casual for People's Choice, compared to the Oscars or Grammys. Still, celebrities like to throw us a curve ball or two with unique looks, super casual outfits or edgy choices. I love the more casual vibe, where we get to see a glimpse of true personal style. Tonight, you'll likely see tons of slick suits, feminine jumpsuits, and glamorous gowns. Celebs like Dakota Johnson, Lea Michele, Natalie Dormer, and Taylor Kinney are among the guests, and I have to say, I have high expectations.
This year, Jane Lynch of Hollywood Game Night is the host, so it should be a good time. You will probably get a few laughs tonight, starting with this roundup of outrageous, gorgeous, and downright weird red carpet choices. Consider me the ghost of People's Choice Awards past.
1. Jennifer Aniston
Well, this is different. Jennifer Aniston broke her toe on a piece of furniture, so she had to sport a cane at the 2003 red carpet. It looked pretty chic with her all black ensemble though, no?
2. Kristen Bell
Kristen loves to wear pink to People's Choice, and this funky look is from way back in 2005. So edgy!
3. AnnaLynne McCord
AnnaLynne McCord showed up to the 2010 red carpet looking like she was ready for class. It's another great example of "anything goes" at this red carpet.
4. Pauley Perrette
I love that she took the opportunity to lend her voice to a worthy cause, and she looked beautiful doing it.
5. Demi Lovato
Va va voom! Demi made a statment in 2012 with this body-hugging peach dress. She's so body positive and proud — what a woman!
6. Mischa Barton
She looks like she just rolled out of bed, and it's surprisingly adorable. Pajama fashion was so 2004.
7. Portia de Rossi
Her choice is functional and feminine, and looks unbelievable. I love the geometric detail and that she kind of, sort of matches her boo thing's look.
8. Busy Phillips
Boho fashion had a big moment in 2011, and Busy rocked it with this whimsy, layered look.
9. Anna Faris
This soft, shimmering monochromatic look was amazing on Anna Faris.
10. Nina Dobrev
Whoa! Nina stepped out all covered up and looked drop dead gorgeous.
I can't wait to see what everyone's wearing at this year's People's Choice Awards!
