You Have To See Gigi Hadid In The Late '90s

Last week, Yolanda Foster posted an awesome '90s throwback of Gigi Hadid on Instagram that made me super freaking nostalgic. I've noticed a lot of '90s throwbacks lately, and they're giving me severe FOMO. I was born in 1993, which means that I was really more of an early 2000's kid than a '90s kid, but that doesn't mean game can't respect game. We still wore plastic black chokers when I was growing up! There were '90s influences everywhere.

There were so many good fashion and trend role models for kids like me growing up. Additionally, the '90s were really when cult model followings started. We had Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, and Tyra Banks. Plus, we had so many great actors and actresses at their primes (i.e. Drew Barrymore, the Olsen twins, Julia Roberts, et cetera).

So now, with the rise of familiar old school '90s trends becoming more and more prevalent, we have to take a retrospective look back. They say that history is doomed to repeat itself even in the fashion world, so we must learn from it when we can.

Hence, I present to you, some recent great throwback photos that should inspire and inform us fashionistas who were just a little too late to start wearing pageboy caps and jellies.

1. Yolanda Foster & Gigi Hadid

How adorable is this? I wish it was summer.

2. Reese Withherspoon

What an awards show, beaut! The cute LBD and blue eye combo is sooooo late 1990s.

3. The Big Three

This gorgeous trio of supermodels made history in the '90s and popularized the concept of models as major celebrities. Plus, they basically never aged.

4. Claudia Schiffer & Cindy Crawford

Oh, black and white photos are so '90s. Additionally, Crawford's hair is be-you-ti-ful.

5. The Olsen Twins With Full House Cast

6. Hillary Clinton

This post shows are commitment to her style throughout the ages. And by style, I mean pantsuits. Every time Justin Timberlake says "Suit and tie" replace "tie" with "pant" and you'll have Hil's fashion philosophy.

7. Kate Winslet & Leo DiCaprio

My heart will not go on. None of our hearts will go on. I ship to this very day!

8. Tracee Ellis Ross

This girl took a selfie on auto timer in the '90s, and I can barely take one good shot out of thirty.

9. J. Lo & P Diddy

This musical duet stuns in every photo, no matter how blurry.

10. Cindy Crawford & Richard Gere

What a gorgeous set of humans.

11. Naomi Campbell & Kate Moss

The huge fur and plaid print coats slayed and they still would today.

12. Iman & David Bowie

Last but not least, model wife Iman and David Bowie, who were captains of their industries. They made rock look glam.

Feeling inspired? Me too. I need to up my plaid game 110 percent and watch Clueless at least two more times before I go out this weekend. I can't wait to bring back some crazy '90s trends.
