Ciara Has Never Looked More Beautiful
Ciara, you slay me. Everyone knows that the 30-year-old singer is an amazing performer, but her latest gig just blew everyone away. On Monday night, Ciara sang the National Anthem at the College Football Championship game, and I have never seen her look so good.
Ciara sang at the College Football Playoffs national championship football game, held in Glendale, Arizona, in front of thousands of Alabama and Clemson fans. She sounded amazing, proving to everyone that she's vocally better than ever. But it was her fashion and beauty look that really blew people away. She wore a white sequined gown with a deep V and dramatic cape, paired with a sleek pony tail. Her makeup was minimal, and with an outfit like that I can see why — the low-key makeup and pulled back hair puts her dress in front and center. She chose a smoky black and grey eye with slight shimmer at the center and inner corner of her lid, which accentuates her natural almond eye shape. She also chose a peachy nude glossy lip for a perfect, naturally beautiful glam. The entire look would've beat out everyone's look at last night's Golden Globes.
Choosing such a timeless look and dress is the perfect choice for the honor that is singing the national anthem. This event is either amazingly triumphant (a la Whitney Houston in 1991) or a bit of a disaster (like Christian Aguilera's lyric mishap) so no matter what happens, it pays off to look amazing.
The whole outfit, dress and cape, look like she's taking a bath in highlighter and I don't hate it. Not one bit.
The dress hits at perfectly long length, giving drama without the risk of tripping all over it getting on and off stage.
I still can't get over how soft and pretty her makeup look is. When in doubt (or when you're worried about a big event), the best plan is to go with a look that is timeless and comfortable.
The drama of the deep V cut is the main focal point, so she let her hair and makeup take a backseat.
Bravo, Ciara. Bra. Vo.
