This Catchy '60s Song Is Indie Pop Magic

If you and your ears are feeling the vibrant, wonderfully buoyant tune that provides the soundtrack to the ad for the Samsung one, two mobile device punch that is the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5, then you and your ears have great taste in music, dear pal. In the Samsung commersh, a charming track plays as different sets of human hands use the smartphones to snap photos of a mellow elephant, a freshly bathed dog, and a dimly lit dinner party. So what is the name of the song in the Samsung Galaxy ad that is serving up a heaping spoonful of ‘60s pop goodness? It is “Turn It Around” by Lucius. The undeniably catchy record can be found on the Brooklyn-based indie pop band’s 2013 album Wildewoman.

This particular song is no stranger to the small screen; In addition to appearing in this TV spot for Samsung Galaxy products, “Turn It Around” has been featured in television shows The Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy. Lucius’ next full length album is slated to hit the e-shelves in March of 2016.
