Kirsten Dunst's Vintage Glam Look Was Everything

by Eliza Florendo

Kirsten Dunst may have taken a wee hiatus, but she's totally coming back with (style) guns blazing. And tonight, she definitely didn't disappoint: Kirsten Dunst at the 2016 Critics Choice Awards totally killed the 1920s glam look, rocking a jeweled, tiered dress that basically made her look like she had just stepped straight out of a time machine.

Dunst recently came back to the acting scene in the TV show Fargo, playing Peggy Blumquist. And man, have we missed her! Especially on the Red Carpet — Let me tell you, I've been waiting to see her fabulous ensembles! Dunst always has something unique to wear on the Red Carpet and in real life. My most favorite look of hers? Her Louis Vuitton checkered dress that was so perfect, I'll probably never stop thinking about it. Don't be fooled, though — She also looks pretty awesome in a pantsuit. Basically, what I'm saying is whichever quirky look she goes for, she nails it.

And this award show is certainly no exception. Dunst's jeweled gown featured a high neckline and cap-like sleeves. The tiered silhouette was to die for. While normally, I'm not a fan of multiple layers, Dunst has basically changed my mind. The metallic jewels all over it don't hurt, either. Love the sheer overlay, too, exposing a little leg and adding a touch of sexiness.

Dunst went with a small bracelet and ring, and kept her short bob straight and in a side part. With a red lip and smoky eye, she added a modern update that totally completed the entire look.

Tonight, Dunst is up for Best Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series for her role in Fargo. Best of luck to her — She's certainly dressed like an Old Hollywood movie star!
