Juan Dixon Was A Star Even Before 'RHOP'

by Caroline Gerdes

Bravo recently added a new group of entertaining, dynamic women to their reality TV lineup with The Real Housewives Of Potomac. While fans have been getting to know the ladies of this new Real Housewives franchise, there are still a lot of unanswered questions about them and their families. Fans might want to know about the Real Houswives' real husbands — or, in some cases, ex-husbands. Like, who is Robyn Dixon’s ex-husband Juan Dixon?

The pair married in 2005, and Bravo reported that 400 guests attended their Washington D.C. nuptials at the Galleria at Lafayette Center. The couple later divorced in 2012, but Juan and Robyn’s story is still far from over. Like fans saw during the premiere of RHOP, Robyn and Juan are divorced, but they still live together and co-parent their children. Things seem pretty amicable between the two; he even walked in on Robyn jokingly trying on her wedding dress during the premiere and didn't bat an eye.

So, since he's still in Robyn's life and therefore on viewers' TV screens, here's everything you need to know about Juan's basketball career, family, life, and marriage to Robyn Dixon before more of their story unfolds on The Real Housewives Of Potomac this season.

They Were High School And College Sweethearts

Bravo reported that the couple met as teenagers when Juan was an athlete at a rival Maryland school. According to Bravo, the couple also attended the University of Maryland together.

They All Live Under One Roof

The divorced couple still lives together — and Juan and Robyn still share a bed. Her co-stars expressed confusion about the couple’s relationship status on the premiere, so expect it to play a role on this RHOP season!

According to ESPN, at 17, Juan lost both of his parents to AIDS-related complications. ESPN reported that he has their names, Nita (short for Juanita) and Phil, tattooed on his left arm to remember them by.

Juan and Robyn's unconventional relationship is sure to bring the drama this season on RHOP, but I can't wait to see it all unfold now that I know him a little better.
