As much as top celebrity stylists would like to pick the most unique, outrageous, and memorable gowns for their clients, fashion trends dictate that the Oscars red carpet will see some overarching dress trends worn by a number of starlets. Whether it be a sea of red gowns, or figure-hugging ensembles that make celebs resemble the Oscars statuettes themselves, each year's Academy Awards brings us one undeniable fashion trend that ruled.
