Sam Riley & His Wife Are Human Heart-Eye Emoji

As Pride and Prejudice and Zombies star Sam Riley gears up for all of the attention worthy of Mr. Darcy, no doubt all aspects of his life are going to be propelled into the spotlight — his love life in particular. And while I'm sorry to disappoint fans eager for Mr. Darcy to be ~single and ready to mingle~, Sam Riley and his wife Alexandra Maria Lara are such an adorable couple that you'll easily start shipping them, too. And while I wrap my head around the fact that it's somehow fair that there is a power couple out there that is this good-looking, it's also impossible not to drown in their sheer and obvious love for one another. They're like two heart-eye emojis looking at each other IRL.

Riley, 36, and Lara, 37, first met on the set of their 2007 film Control, and the whole thing was kinda fate. Riley told The Guardian,

Alexandra and I do think about it, especially now we've got our son. How insane it was ... [Director] Anton [Corbijn] had taken a photo of her five years before casting the film, and then remembered her and thought about her to play the part [of his character's mistress, Annik Honore]. What are the chances?

Fate has a funny way of having things work out, and it's certainly dealt a promising hand to Riley and Lara. The couple have starred in multiple films together, married in 2009, and are the proud parents of two-year-old Ben. Does life get any better? It does when you also happen to be "really, really ridiculously good-looking," Zoolander-style.
