One of my favorite redheads of all time is Lindsay Lohan. I remember being in elementary school and watching her movies (shout-out to The Parent Trap), thinking that Lindsay Lohan's red hair made her stand out in a way that was unique but that also allowed me to feel like I fit in with someone. I'm a natural redhead — something that I used to hate as a kid because everyone would always draw attention to it and I thought it made me weird. LiLo was one of the first actors in pop culture I was exposed to who also had naturally red locks and who embraced her unique beauty. After idolizing Lohan for years, I started to embrace my own mane more and more, realizing that my strands also made me beautiful.
I'm sure many of my fellow redheads reading might be able to relate to Lohan's awesome ability to rock her natural hair color, and I wouldn't be surprised if she was a hair crush for most of us when we were growing up. Over the years, Lohan has changed her hair color more than a few times, but whenever she goes back to her red roots, magic truly does happen. In the spirit of embracing red hair, let's take a look at 15 of Lohan's hair moments that all of us redheads can be proud of.
1. Starring In The Iconic Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen
Children of the '90s likely remember seeing Lohan in one of her first blockbuster movies: Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen, released in 2004. It also stars the then-unknown Megan Fox, who played the role of mean girl Carla. Lohan's character Lola is quirky, funny, sweet, and totally relatable, which makes this one of Lohan's outstanding moments as a redhead, IMO.
2. On The Cover Of Her First Album
Her red hair is really the main thing speaking here.
3. When She Looked Like A Siren At The Liz And Dick Premiere
The Hollywood glam factor here was off of the charts. She was clearly showing off her red hair with pride, those stunning loose curls being the focal point of the look. Lohan singlehandedly proved how hot redheads are.
4. With Glorious Bangs
Just glancing at this throwback from 2004 makes me blush.
5. At The Premiere Of Mean Girls
In what is perhaps Lohan's most iconic role ever, she glowed at the 2004 premiere of Mean Girls. The fact that she looks so genuinely happy and stunning makes this a moment that all of us redheads should cherish.
6. In Every Selfie She's Ever Taken
Red hair is everything, y'all.
7. Starring In Herbie Fully Loaded
Another movie in which Lohan donned her classic red locks was Herbie Fully Loaded. Although the film wasn't received to a ton of acclaim, it will forever live on in my heart thanks to Lohan's killer red hair.
8. At The Just My Luck Premiere
One word: goddess.
9. In This Vintage CosmoGirl Shoot With Her Little Sister
She is absolutely stunning. This photo with her sister Ali Lohan proves that red hair can help you stand out in a totally precious way.
10. When She Wore Cat Ears
A bold look twice over, Lohan made those cat ears even more chic and adorable with her bright red tresses.
11. In This Adorable Throwback Moment From Her Teen Star Days
There is nothing more adorable than a kid with red hair. Redheads, all hail the queen.
12. Lounging In Bed In A No Makeup Selfie
Lohan proved that having red hair can help make a no makeup, no filter selfie that much more interesting. Look at how her red locks just pop!
13. Rocking Red Ombre In 2012
The ombre dye job highlighted her red locks in the best way possible, making Lohan look absolutely gorgeous.
14. When She Rocked A Powder Blue Pantsuit
Even though she was going to court, Lohan was showing off her red hair in a very understated yet glam way. This moment proves that your red hair can be your best accessory, no matter the situation or outfit.
15. Rocking Her Tresses At NYFW
One of her most recent public appearances featured this smoking all-black look, which made her red tresses act like a pop of color for her otherwise neutral ensemble. Looking good, lady.
The moral here is obviously "power to the redheads!"
