I am sure all my sensitive skinned girls out there can relate when I say there is nothing worse than using a product that’s supposed to help your skin and then have a negative reaction to it. To dodge this struggle as the weather heats up, consider trying out all the sunscreens for sensitive skin to find one that works best for you. That way, you can have fun in the sun and not stress about mysterious rashes showing up.
My skin has been incredibly sensitive for as long as I can remember, and it’s definitely altered the way I engage with beauty products. Whenever I’m out shopping with friends, I’m totally the annoying person asking the salesperson a million questions about ingredient lists, but hey, girl’s gotta protect her skin!
Fortunately, I’ve never had any sort of negative encounter with sunscreen, but that’s because I try incredibly hard to never give myself the chance to use something that could irritate my skin. Key phrases that I look out for on any beauty or cosmetic I want to purchase include “sensitive skin-safe,” “dermatologist tested,” “hypoallergenic,” and “fragrance-free.” The only fragrance exception I make is essential oils, as I know my skin won’t react to those.
Below are sunscreens specifically designed for all of us out there that have to be extra careful with what we use, so enjoy getting to scroll a whole list with the peace of mind that each product is safe for you!
