How To Watch The Super Tuesday Results

Super Tuesday is well on its way with the Iowa and Nevada caucuses, and New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries already past. This day of voting is a hugely important event in the course of choosing a presidential nominee from each major party. With 13 states and territories voting on March 1, staying up-to-date with numbers and delegates will likely prove a daunting task for any politically active individual. Luckily, the Internet is here to help. There are plenty of ways to keep up with the results of Super Tuesday with the help of the friendly web fairies.

Naturally, the nation's popular news stations will have the coverage on lockdown. However, for those without access to television, the Internet has its own alternatives. CBS is airing the results of each primary and caucus throughout the day on Tuesday via its CBSN live streaming page, and even Google lists the results in each state with a quick search. To access Google's live political data, simply type in the name of the state with the word primary, for example, and Google will provide the results of each race in real-time.

Another alternative is Twitter, where a search for the results of each Super Tuesday primary or caucus will yield plenty of news writers and voices providing information and links to articles at a faster rate than most anywhere else online. Just make certain that the links are to a reputable source — anything mainstream media is preferable — because the Internet is shifty like that.

Of course, with 12 states — Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia — holding primaries and caucuses, respectively, as well as one territory — that is, American Samoa — the results could become confusing. Luckily, most polls close around 7 p.m. or 8 p.m., so at least the streaming coverage will consolidate into a block of only a few hours in the evening, making it a bit easier to check in every so often.

Although the events of Super Tuesday could play out in a variety of ways, these results are perhaps the most significant of any presidential event this election cycle. With so many states and a American territory voting, Super Tuesday is the most telling of all pre-general election significant dates, so active voters will not want to miss this. It could truly change or solidify the direction of America, so stay tuned.
