How To Recreate Kate Middleton's Iconic Blowout

by Sienna Fantozzi

If there's any celebrity who incites serious hair envy, it's Kate Middleton. Her hair is so bouncy, voluminous, and shiny, and now you can totally steal her iconic style, because Kate Middleton's hairdresser shared how to do her blowout, according to People Magazine. Trust me, this is going to make you want to lay off the beach waves for a while.

Personally, I never blow dry my hair, and while part of that is laziness, the other part is that I just don't know how to do it myself. It sounds so simple, but getting that salon quality blowout at home is no easy feat. Luckily, not only is there a new video teaching you how to blowout hair, but it's teaching you how to achieve Kate Middleton's "Chelsea Blow Dry" by her hairstylist himself, Richard Ward. Sold.

The video is part of People's new series, Make Me Kate, and Ward revealed that even though it's her signature style, it wasn't created for Middleton, and had been the salon's staple before she ever became a client. "It's not just about Kate's hair – it is beautifully finished, frizz-free, shiny hair," Ward told People . "It's a hairstyle that is well finished."

But it's not just about learning the right technique, it's also about having the right tools. “You're never gonna get that finish with a paddle brush. You need to be using a round boar bristle brush. All these spiky metal brushes, in my opinion, they just rip through the hair. The round boar bristle brush helps seal the hair cuticles," Ward told Grazia Daily .

One royal quality blowout, coming right up!
