In case you blinked, the latest restock for Kylie Cosmetics sold out again when it went live on Monday afternoon. Although it seems like getting your hands on one of Jenner's Lip Kits is near impossible, there is some good news: Fans of Jenner's latest orange-y red color can shop lots of products that are the same 22 Lip Kit shade.
Jenner debuted the orange-red matte liquid lipstick, 22, as her second red shade. While Mary Jo K was a cool-toned classic red, 22 is warm and definitely unique. We got the first look at 22 a few weeks ago, and while it seems new and exciting to some, the warm red trend has been going on in the makeup world for a while. YouTube beauty vlogger KathleenLights released a similar shade earlier this year, while Kendall Jenner released a warm, fiery red with Estee Lauder.
Lips aside, orange-red shades are outselling all over the place. Copper eyeshadow, blush, and highlighter are as popular as ever. The trick with rocking this color is to not go overboard and to remember to balance it with the rest of your makeup. Other than that, the orange-red makeup possibilities are endless!
If you’re in love with the orange-red trend but can’t get your hands on 22, here are a few of my favorite 22-inspired products.
This is the palette that arguably started the warm tone trend. It's sold out, but restocks often and comes in a shimmer and totally matte option.
This is best matte liquid lipstick alternative to 22, and is easy on the wallet, too. Score.
It looks brown, but this bronzer has a reddish tint to it that warms up the face for a unique contour.
Copper shimmer works for summer and fall, so don't think you can't rock this now. Wet your brush before applying for a super metallic look.
If you have a naturally reddish tint to your skin, this is a beautiful highlight and bronzing option. If you are fairer toned, focus this on the apples of your cheeks.
6. MannyMUA x Makeup Geek Palette
MannyMUA x Makeup Geek Palette, $45.00, makeupgeek.com
Makeup Geek collaborated with makeup artist Manny MUA for this warm palette that is so popular, it crashed the site and sold out instantly. Don't worry, it's returning. The shining star of the palette is his unique red shade, Mars.
A spicy red a casual take on a classic color. If cool reds aren't sassy enough for you, this is your shade.
Like lavender, red and orange are a little intimidating in the pan. Go lightly, and slowly build color on the apples of your cheeks. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
It's like a tan in a pan, people! This shimmering bronzer looks amazing when applied to the forehead, cheeks and temples for a natural glow.
