Back in February, it was rumored that the youngest Kardashian-Jenner would be working with PUMA, much to the chagrin of her Adidas-repping uncle. We didn't know what her involvement with the brand would be, but, as it turns out, Kylie Jenner will headline the campaign for PUMA Fierce, which will be fully unveiled on April 1.
PUMA Fierce is a new athleisure-centric slip-on shoe from the popular sportswear brand — the press release from the brand refers to it as a shoe that "mixes performance-ready technology with street-worthy styling." It's a slip-on sneaker that goes against everything you ever believed about slip-on sneakers — namely, the fact that it's actually quite cool.
For their part, PUMA seems happy to work with the young social media star, who proved her marketing power with the lightning-fast selling of her eponymous lip kit. Adam Petrick, the Global Director of Brand and Marketing for PUMA, said in the press release, "PUMA is putting a great deal of focus and emphasis behind our women’s business; this campaign and launch of the Fierce is the latest in many tactics and innovations to support women’s training." He also added, "Kylie Jenner represents the young and bright future of fashion and fitness for women and we are excited to have her be the face of this campaign."
The first image from the campaign (which was shot by Lauren Dukoff) features a fittingly fierce Jenner, and the rest of the photos (some of which will showcase Jenner, while others will feature other PUMA brand ambassadors) are to be released in April, along with the shoes themselves.
Interested in scoring the new Fierce for yourself? It will soon be available in four colors for $90 a pair, and additional colors will be added to the line throughout the year — so if you don't see your favorite color yet, you might want to wait a couple months!
