Joey Fatone Finally Explains Those Studio Pics

by Kristie Rohwedder

Way, way back in February of 2016, *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick tweeted some cryptic, shocking, panic-inducing photos. In the photos, Fatone and Kirkpatrick appear to be recording music in a music recording studio. What are those two up to? we wondered. What could these pictures mean? Could there be another *NSYNC reunion in the works? Well, we can wonder no more: one of the “Bye Bye Bye” guys finally spilled the beans about those mysterious images. In a recent interview with TooFab, Fatone revealed that he and Kirkpatrick were not in the studio for an *NSYNC reunion, but for a certain upcoming SyFy flick.

“What happened is, me and [Kirkpatrick] are recording the title song for the soundtrack of Dead 7,” Fatone told TooFab. “It's cool, you've probably never heard anything like this before because it's myself, Chris is in it, Nick Carter, AJ [McLean] and Howie [Dorough]. So the five of us and probably a couple guys from O-Town are singing on it as well. It's the first time we've ever done something like that."

Well, I’ll be a dancing action figure! Just when I thought I couldn't be more fired up for the Nick Carter-penned post-apocalyptic zombie movie, Joey Fatone goes and says the Dead 7 theme will be performed by gents from *NSYNC, the Backstreet Boys, and O-Town. Calling it now: this will be the greatest early aughts pop supergroup since Fatone, Lance Bass, Mandy Moore, BBMak's Christian Burns, and True Vibe joined forces for On the Line.

This larger than life collaboration is a liquid dream come true, this I promise you.
