8 Easy Nail Tutorials For Easter

by Sienna Fantozzi

If you've been stuck in a red, berry, or purple nail polish rut, then it might be time to start thinking about some lighter colors to add into your rotation, because we're only a few days away from the official start of spring! And while pastels are great and all, you can totally take things to the next-level with some easy easter nail tutorials that will shake up your standard, single color nail game. And no, you don't have to go to the nail salon to get these done.

I usually stick to a solid color when doing my nails, mostly out of laziness and lack of any sort of skills, but it doesn't necessarily take a pro to create whimsical designs and cool patterns. That's not to say I could pick up a bottle right now and paint on a field of flowers like an expert, but there are plenty of tutorials that can help you learn how to do salon-quality designs at home, without having to spend money every time you want to look festive.

While you probably aren't going to take the time on the regs to do a complicated design on your nails, Easter is right around the corner, making it the perfect occasion to spend a little extra time beautifying them. Try these eight tutorials for spring-inspired Easter nails and show the salon who's boss.

1. Easter Egg Nails

If you're dying them, eating them, and hunting for them — you might as well paint them on your nails, too.

2. Polka Dots

Want something super feminine? Go for pink and white polka dots.

3. Speckled

This tutorial teaches you how to use a toothbrush to create the look of speckled eggs.

4. Characters

Gangs all here!

5. Cracked Eggs

If you want something a little more edgy, create a cracked egg design.

6. Chicks

This is probably the only time of year this design will be appropriate, so make the most of it while you can.

7. Floral

It's classic, but it never gets old.

8. Watercolor

This one isn't as technical of a design, so it totally allows room for mistakes.
