Trump Just Called Megyn Kelly "Crazy"

by Lauren Holter

Donald Trump just can't stop making offensive and sexist comments about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. He's held a grudge against the journalist ever since she called him out for past sexist comments about women in an early GOP presidential debate, even though she's continuously ignored his insults. While awaiting the results from Super Tuesday 3's primaries in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, and Missouri, Trump called Kelly "Crazy Megyn" on Twitter, intensifying a feud that should have died long ago.

Retweeting someone who wrote, "@megynkelly is trying so hard to bash @realDonaldTrump it's ridiculous," the GOP frontrunner added: "Don't worry, everyone is wise to Crazy Megyn!" Trump didn't stop with one tweet, though — apparently, he was proud of his new nickname for Kelly, tweeting 30 minutes later: "Watching other networks and local news. Really good night! Crazy @megynkelly is unwatchable."

Not only is it ridiculous to call a news anchor "crazy" for doing her job, but it's also incredibly sexist to say that a woman is insane just because she speaks her mind, asserts authority, and stands up to men. While Trump doesn't exclusively bash women (he insults plenty of men too), his hatred for Kelly far exceeds any other feud of his — except perhaps the one with Hillary Clinton.

If Trump doesn't like Kelly's reporting, he could simply not watch her programs. Repeatedly attacking her and calling her names is just childish and unprofessional. Not to mention how he's only further proving that he's sexist with each degrading tweet about the news anchor, which is ironic, considering his initial animosity toward her started because she brought up sexist remarks he made in the past.
