New York Fashion Week Fall 2014: 5 Standout Beauty Looks From Day One

And it begins! Evidently, you'd have to come up with a lot more than four inches of solid ice to keep people off the streets on the first day of Fall 2014 New York Fashion Week. What's that thing they say about wild horses? Couldn't drag me away?

The nature of fashion is such that right now we're looking forward to spring (like, really, really looking forward), while next fall's clothes are coming down the runway, but we can definitely stand to incorporate some Fall/Winter 2014 beauty inspiration into our lives in the next few months. Behold, the first five beauty highlights from day one of NYFW.

Katie Gallagher

Low-key, gorgeous goth was the theme at Katie Gallagher, where models wore straight, slicked center parts, brushed-up brows, and a moody dark lip.
