As happened with Heath Ledger and as will happen next year with Philip Seymour Hoffman, it's a weird world of posthumously released films. So it is with the Paul Walker action flick Brick Mansions , which just got a release date: Mark your calendars for April 15.
Brick Mansions, which is a remake of District B13, a French film from 2004, was directed by Camille Delamarre and also stars RZA. Here's the description for District B13 :
Set in the ghettos of Paris in 2010, an undercover cop and ex-thug try to infiltrate a gang in order to defuse a neutron bomb.
An undercover cop tries to take down a ruthless crime lord with access to a neutron bomb by infiltrating his gang.
So, you know, a little rearranging and some Americanization, and a lot of Paul Walker. The film also stars David Belle, who was in the original film and who is apparently a "parkour expert," because apparently that's a job that an actual person can have and not just something they'd make up as a personal trainer for Schmidt on New Girl to hire. Sadly, a trailer for Brick Mansions is not yet available.
