Edyta Sliwinska Is Back On 'DWTS'

by Alaina Urquhart-White

Another glorious season of Dancing With The Stars is returning, friends! Season 22 of the epic competition will feature one of its best casts yet and marks the return of fan favorite, Len Goodman to the judging table in place of Julianne Hough. That's not the only show veteran that's making a comeback in the ballroom, though. Professional dancer and previous cast member, Edyta Sliwinska is coming out of her DWTS retirement to compete once again on this season.

Edyta is a professional ballroom dancer from Warsaw, Poland, according to her website. She was definitely a fan favorite on DWTS and appeared on the first 10 seasons of the show. Her surprise return comes after she took a hiatus from competing in order to give birth to her now two-year-old son, Michael. She will be paired up to dance with Geraldo Rivera this season, and it's sure to be an interesting matchup. Having been coupled up with some less-than-qualified partners in previous seasons, Edyta will certainly be able to teach Geraldo a thing or two.

Because Edyta has such a loyal fan base, I felt the need to know more about her. Here are a few fast facts about the Polish dancer to tide us over for the March 21 DWTS premiere.

She's Married To A Fellow Dancer

According to WetPaint, Edyta is married to Alec Mazo, who is also a professional dancer and has competed alongside his wife on Dancing With The Stars. Talk about a power couple.

She Has An Adorable Son

Edyta and Alec have a seriously adorable baby boy named Michael. It looks like she's a really loving mom, and their little family is nothing short of picturesque.

She Has The Best Costumes

Her costume game is seriously on point. Her Instagram is full of snaps of her insanely elaborate dance ensembles. Girl can rock rhinestones and feathers like nobody else can.

She Has Her Own Fitness DVDs

She and Alec haven produced a number of fitness DVDs, mixing dance with classic exercise routines. You know what they say... the couple that works out together, stays together. Someone says that, probably. Right?

Fans can see Edyta make her triumphant return to the Dancing With The Stars ballroom on March 21. I know that I'm rooting for her and Geraldo Rivera to win that Mirrorball trophy in the end.
