7 Brow Waxing Hacks for Lazy Girls

by Alexa Dragoumis

Let's be honest — sometimes we can't make it to the salon every two weeks to get our arches perfected and sometimes we're simply just too lazy to go. If the upkeep gets to you, you're not alone, and that's why I'm about to share some waxing hacks for lazy girls. Hopefully, these small tips will help tide you over long enough to push that salon visit back a week... or two.

While I would never suggest waxing your majorly overdue brows yourself, there are some small things you can do to help keep that wax fresh and prolong the time in between appointments. Some of these things can be found at your local drugstore and others are simple habits you can add to your everyday beauty routine.

Eyebrows are arguably one of our most defining features and keeping them clean cut helps us look polished at all times. Personally, I'm passionate about keeping mine well-defined and I use these tricks regularly, so they totally work!

If you won't take it from me, take it from brow queens like Olivia Palermo and Olivia Culpo — upkeep is important. After you read this, your brows will always look as amazing as theirs!

1. Pluck A Few Hairs Each Day

Unruly brows can be avoided by keeping up with the hairs that are growing back in. Since some grow faster than others, simply pluck those that are long enough as you see them appearing. This only adds 30 seconds to your morning or night routine and it can help prolong your next visit by up to two weeks!

2. Wax The Center Yourself

While I don't suggest shaping brows without the help of a professional, I do think that the space between your brows is pretty self explanatory. Brands like Sally Hansen make at-home waxing kits that come complete with tweezers and soothing agents. Simply heat up the wax in the microwave and nip that unibrow in the butt!

3. Try A Brow Concealer

One of the best kept secrets on the market is Chanel's Crayon Kohl in Clair, which is actually labeled as an eyeliner. But since the formula is nude, it is best used to cover up small hear regrowths, leaving the illusion of freshly waxed brows!

4. Purchase A Pair Of Personal Trimmers

Tweezerman Facial Hair Scissors, $11, Amazon

Sometimes our brows simply appear unruly because the hair has grown too long. Personal trimmers can be found at your local drugstore and believe it or not, their soul purpose isn't just to trim nose hairs. You can trim your brows yourself at home. I trim my brows on my own every one to two weeks, but the frequency really depends on how fast your hair grows.

6. Hide Imperfections By Penciling In

L'Oreal Stylist Brow Designer, $6, Amazon

Bold brows like Cara Delevigne's are totally in, right? Some hair regrowth can be hidden by penciling in our brows a little thicker than we normally would — and I don't mean darker. Simply draw the lines out slightly further than normal as you're filling in to hide those stingy stubs.

7. Try a Cream Hair Remover

Sally Hansen Creme Hair Remover Kit, $4, Amazon

Sally Hansen Creme Hair Remover Kit is great for those of us who avoid the salon because of the discomfort we feel during a waxing appointment. With this kit, simply apply the formula to the areas necessary, let it sit for a few minutes and wipe away the hair. This cream is also great for removing hair on the upper lip!
