Make Up For Ever is launching Aqua XL Eye Pencils, which are an enhanced, more color-saturated version of the brand's popular Aqua Eye Pencil, according to Women's Wear Daily. The product will boast new features and the campaign will be fronted by British singer and pop music secret weapon Charli XCX. You know her — she provided the vocal hook to Iggy Azalea's smash hit "Fancy" and her own jam "Boom Clap" slays. So, yeah, the XCX is pimping the XL! When can you purchase the MUFE Aqua XL Pencils and what makes them XL?
Well, the wait time is minimal. The pencils will land in May, which is right around the corner.
And what's different about the XL version of the liners? The waterproof and long-lasting XL is more color saturated and will come in 20 bright shades, including blue, green, purple, and pastels. Yes, there will be "basic" shades like black and brown, if adventurous colors aren't your thang. WWD also reports that the pencils are offered in five finishes: Matte, Diamond, Satin, Iridescent, and Metallic. Lastly, the new formula boasts emollient oils and mango butter, which means application will be a creamy, dreamy, smooth, and silky breeze.
Also, the brand envisions Aqua XL shoppers as similar to Charli XCX. Charli is young, loves to experiment with her look, and isn't afraid of color, as Make Up For Ever's U.S. general manager Laure de Metz explained to WWD. The brand partnered with the singer because it feels she is the perfect conduit to convey the vibrance and exuberance of the product.
