NYFW Fall 2014's Best Acessories Are...
With so much focus on the clothes on display during Fashion Week, it's easy to miss some of the accessories (even with a million NYFW Instagram photos in your feed). That's a shame, not just because the often-overlooked sunglasses, jewelry, bags, and shoes are the finishing touches on many collections, but also because they're so gorgeous in their own right. Luckily for you, we've rounded up 11 of the best accessory moments from fashion week so far. Here are the pieces you don't want to miss.

Bold Earrings at Carolina Herrera
Given that I generally have the same view of jewelry that I do of donuts (the bigger, the better), Herrera got this accessory trend just right in my book.
Beanies at Tommy Hilfiger
If you were wondering if the cold is going to end any time soon, the answer is no. Fortunately, Tommy Hilfiger showed the beanie trend is here to stay as well. A practical and cute runway look is always one to get behind.
Fur Scarves at Vivienne Tam
Few looks say,”I’m ready to go to a very fancy dinner meeting in the Arctic circle,” but Tam seemed to pull it off, with every model in fur looking very chic (and very warm).
Hats at Public School
And I mean a lot of hats. Both men and women rocked a variety of styles of hats at the Public School show. Somewhere Pharrell is very, very pleased.
Powerful Boots at Alexander Wang
Wang was able to re-imagine the classic boot and add to the androgynous edge of his collection, as if to say, “These boots were made for walking, and also for whatever the hell else you want to do because look at them.”
Delicate Jewelry at Mara Hoffman
Mara Hoffman’s collection delivered stunning patterns and textures per usual, so the juxtaposition of simple jewelry worked perfectly. Hoffman’s flowing dresses and feminine necklaces are sure to make you want to go somewhere warm or, at the very least, buy every single item.
Statement Sunglasses at Prabal Gurung
Sunglasses are often the accessory that pulls together a look. Something about the simple accessory adds gives the entire outfit an air of confidence. The unique, bold sunglasses in Prabal Gurung’s collection had exactly that affect.
Simple Earrings at Tadashi Shoji
When I see Tadashi Shoji’s collections, usually my first thought is, “Should I sell my car to buy a gown or not?” This collection was no different, and his gowns were perfectly accented by delicate drop earrings.
Baseball Caps at DKNY
Fashion bloggers can breathe a collective sigh of relief: the baseball hat trend seems to be staying around for seasons to come, hiding bed head and confusing non-fashion addicts worldwide.
Chokers at Rebecca Taylor
The ’90s child in me rejoiced as Rebecca Taylor accessorized some of her looks with chokers this season.
Knee-High Boots With Dresses at Herve Leger
Knee-high boots aren’t particularly groundbreaking, but pair them with a bold cocktail dress, and you definitely have a different type of look. It’s the kind of look fit for the girl who wants to ride a motorcycle to a movie premiere. Which is secretly want we all want to do, yes?
