Louis Tomlinson Shares Adorable Photo Of Freddie

To know Louis Tomlinson is to know the dude's love of soccer (or football, as you would say in England). The former One Direction singer literally attempted to own his hometown team, the Doncaster Rovers, has played for them in several charity tournaments, and frequently tweets (with passion!) about the sport. So it should come as no surprise that little Freddie Reign is proudly following in his dad's footsteps, posing with a soccer ball in a new photo that Tomlinson shared on Instagram on Thursday (April 7). It's the kind of picture that is so adorable you'd "ooh" and "aww" over it no matter whose baby it is, but because it's Tomlinson's, the sweet depiction is just that much more squee-worthy.

In the photo (one of the first color pictures of the little guy), Freddie is lying outstretched on a giraffe-printed pillow, soccer ball strategically placed below one of his feet so it looks like he's "kicking" it. Wah! Considering all little Freddie does is eat, throw up, and pretend to play soccer (he is just shy of four months old), maybe he takes after his dad in more ways than one. Just kidding, but that video of Louis puking during a charity soccer match is forever seared into my brain.

Of course, the photo — as sweet and innocent as it is — doesn't come without its criticisms. Like any picture of Freddie Tommo so far, this one will undoubtedly be scrutinized by the Larries of the One Direction fan base. That is, the contingent of the fandom that believes Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are in a secret relationship protected by the band's management and that Freddie is, in actuality, a baby doll.

Real baby, fake baby, baby doll — whatever the case may be (I'm personally betting on "real baby" here), there's no denying that this picture of future soccer player Baby Tomlinson is downright adorable. #TeamFreddie all the way.
