You're Gonna Love Emma Roberts' Braided 'Do

by Kali Borovic

If you thought that Emma Roberts' most recent hair color change was all the inspiration you needed for spring, do I have some news for you. Not only does the actress have a gorgeous "Desert Rose" hue, as she called it, but she's been playing around with new styles to go with her freshly tinted locks. Roberts' latest braided 'do is perfect for festival season, and it's not her only look that would pair well with good music and bohemian outfits, either.

As a fellow redhead, I was thrilled to see that the Scream Queens star joined the rose side, but I had no idea her new hair color would lead to such festival-friendly styles. In her most recent Instagram post, Roberts switched up her hair a bit with pin straight locks and an almost hidden braid that looked so effortlessly cool. I'm not a betting gal, but I think it's safe to say this is about to be a very popular go-to style for the summer.

Before her big color transformation, she was hooked on tousled hair, so it's nice to see the star stepping out of her comfort zone a bit. The best part is that her new braided look is so easy to recreate. Just let your hair air dry (I imagine this would look excellent with curls as well),add a thick braid just behind one of your ears, and you're good to go! It truly doesn't get any easier than that.

This isn't the only one of her recent hairstyles that's perfect for festival season. Roberts is a pro at switching up her locks, so no matter what color or length you have, there's some inspiration for you. Here are some of her best laid-back looks that are perfect for the season of carefree waves.

1. Slept-On Side Part

Not quite curly but not quite straight, this style is perfect whether you've got time to perfect the messy look or are just looking to roll out of bed and go.

The secret to getting effortless hair is all about the texture.

2. Short & Texturized

If you've got short hair, no worries. Roberts' is a pro at the messy style at all lengths, so you can still get the same slept-on 'do.

Just skip the curler and focus on the products.

3. Fishtail Crown Braid

You've probably already tried your hand at a braided crown, but I bet you've never tried it as a fishtail braid.

This style is so much easier than the picture makes it look.

4. Partially Crimped

Roberts brings back a '90s style in the coolest way possible with her half-crimped hair.

Instead of crimping the entire hair, like the tutorial, just throw a few crimped in here and there.

5. Relaxed Waves

If looser waves are more your thing, this this is the look for you.

The bigger the curling iron, the better.

6. Accessorized

This might just be the easiest style of them all. It's all about the baggy beanie for this laid-back style.

Who knew there was an art to the slouchy hat?

7. Braided-Back Ponytail

So simple yet so adorable!

Spruce up the style by doing a dutch braid instead of just your average one.

8. Messy Bun

Roberts might be in the gym, but she could easily take this laid-back style to the streets.

A messy bun will never go out of style.

9. Middle-Parted Bangs

It can be hard to switch up your style when you've got bangs to take into consideration, but Roberts' has the perfect style for that.

There's no easier way to bring the bohemian vibes.

Between all the different styles Roberts has had, you're bound to find some festival inspiration!
