The One Prince Tweet You Have To See

by Anna Klassen

In extremely shocking news, legendary singer Prince has passed away at the age of 57, according to TMZ (via Pitchfork). The Associated Press confirmed the news via Prince's publicist. According to the outlet, the iconic musician was found at his compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.

This devastating news is beyond sad for anyone who is a fan of the singer and for all who knew him personally. Not only was he an eccentric presence in the music world, but he accomplished many things in the industry that were hugely impressive: He sold over 80 million albums worldwide, had 10 platinum albums and 30 Top 40 hits. He's also won a whopping seven Grammy awards.

Before the singer passed away on Thursday, he was fairly active on Twitter, posting his final tweet on April 18. Nearly all of Prince's recent tweets are in regards to his album, his music, and giving thanks to his fans. But there is one tweet that stands out from the rest. It is a simple message made up of three words, and it's eerily different from the rest of his social media posts. The tweet in question reads:

What did the enigmatic artist mean by this sentence, published in his final days? He has been transformed into just a memory.
