Emily Gemma's blog, The Sweetest Thing, more than lives up to its name, from the pink script logo to the bubbly, just-between-BFFs tone of Emily's posts. Whether she's showing off a breezy #OOTD, posting dispatches from vacations with her husband, or spilling her secrets to getting healthy, shiny curls, Emily is a bright spot in any beauty- and fashion-lover's feed. She's not shy with hair and makeup tips, and she offers a lot of affordable options for easy, everyday looks.
In just a few short years, the Oklahoma native has grown her Instagram presence to 415,000 followers — pretty impressive considering that she and her husband originally created her blog for an audience of two (i.e., her parents). Soon enough, her followers started peppering her with questions about beauty and fashion, and she was more than happy to oblige. Over time, she's been able to transform her daily diary into a full-time job.
We checked in with Emily to get a peek into her morning routine. Hint: the blogger life involves a healthy breakfast, some social-media strategy, and a fair amount of hair teasing.
