Everyone Slayed, But Basically In The Same Way

The Met Gala red carpet is one of the year's most anticipated nights of fashion, with celebrities and designers alike getting to flex their most bold and creative fashion muscles. So needles to say, the 2016 Met Gala theme of "Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology" seemed like it would prove no exception.

The only thing is, a lot of the celebrities in attendance kind of, well, dressed the same. Turns out futuristic fashion concepts inspire metal, metal, and — you guessed it — more metal.

And it's not to say that the similarly-dressed stars didn't look amazing. Taylor Swift absolutely killed it in a metallic, snake skin cut out dress, as did Brie Larson in a... metallic snake skin cut out dress. And let's not forget Kim, Kylie, and Kanye all in the same shade of silver, or Kate Upton and Rose Byrne, also owning it in silver gowns.

The list of gorgeous people in basically the same ensemble goes on and on, but it's probably best if you just take a look for yourself. Maybe next year's theme will inspire a little more fashionista diversity.
