11 Discontinued Beauty Items That Should Come Back

by Kali Borovic

With all this talk about Bath & Body Works bringing back classic '90s scents, I can't help thinking about all the other discontinued products that still deserve a place on our makeup tables. There were some classics that might not have seemed like a big deal at the time, but now that they're gone, they're certainly missed. I guess it's true that you don't know a good beauty item until it's gone for good!

With all the amazing new beauty launches, it can be easy to forget about the older products out there. That being said, there are just some discontinued holy grail products (RIP) makeup lovers will never forget about. Take the Bath & Body Works restock for example. The company brought six original #FragranceFlashbacks to the shelves last year, and people loved them so much that they're bringing back eight this time! Why can't every brand do that? I don't know, but if there's some sort of petition going around that I don't know about, please fill me in.

No matter your age or your beauty routine, I think that everyone can agree that these 11 beauty products should have never been discontinued. Fingers crossed they make a Bath & Body Works-style come back soon.

1. Maybelline Kissing Koolers

Maybelline Kissing Koolers Watermelon Swirl, $9.99, eBay.com

These came in about every fruit scent under the sun and the marbled packaging actually went through the actual product for a cool multicolored effect.

2. Body Shop Perfume Oil

The Body Shop Pink Pepper Perfume Oil, $29.50, eBay.com

The Body Shop has some of the coolest products on the market still, but this perfume oil is sorely missed to this day.

3. Maybelline Lash Stylist

Maybelline Lash Stylist Washable Mascara, $15, eBay.com

People raved about this new comb-like mascara wand as soon as it came out, so I have no idea why Maybelline ever took it off the shelves.

4. Bonne Bell Lip Lix

Rare Bonne Bell Lip Lix, $25, eBay.com

I would love for these to come back just for the nostalgia factor alone. What really set them apart were the awesome flavors like Grapevine Wine and Cappuccino.

5. Urban Decay Lip Gunk

Urban Decay Lip Gunk, $12.50, houseofbeautyworld.com

Aside from the awesome name, this was a standout gloss in its day. The staying power of this stuff could rival some of the liquid lipsticks on the market today.

6. John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Wave Spray

John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Wave Spray, $99, eBay.com

The company makes a form of this today, but the OG sea salt spray will never be forgotten.

7. Clinique Acne Solutions Body Treatment Spray

Clinique Clarifying Lotion, $23.50, nordstrom.com

This was more about the packaging than anything. Clinique still makes acne treatments, like the one pictured, but there as nothing better for body acne than a giant spray bottle.

8. Maybelline Flash Clean Makeup Remover Lotion

Maybelline Flash Clean Makeup Remover Lotion, $2.00, eBay.com

Maybelline still has some good makeup removers, but this one got all the gunk off your eyes without you having to rub too hard.

9. Urban Decay Lickable Powders

Urban Decay Marsh Mallow Lickable Body Powder, $21, eBay.com

These would definitely bring you right back to the early '00s.

10. Candy Kisses Lip Balm

10 Candy Kisses Lip Balms, $25, eBay.com

If you can get past the awkward name of these, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the actual lip balm.

11. Revlon Street Wear Lipstick

Lot of 2 Revlon Street Wear Lipsticks, $10, eBay.com

I'd be completely fine with the entire Revlon Street Wear collection coming back, but these metallic lipsticks were real standouts.
