Chanel No. 5 Perfume Is Getting A Makeover

by May Sofi

When you think of timeless, age-old fragrances, the ever-popular Chanel No. 5 perfume immediately comes to mind. That's because the famous fragrance has been around since the 1920s, and while it's still just as relevant today as it was decades ago, even a classic needs a little revamping from time to time. Enter Chanel No. 5 L’Eau, the newest version of the original fragrant formula trademarked by Coco Chanel way back when. You may now be wondering — when does the new Chanel No. 5 L’Eau come out? I've got you covered with all the details.

So how is this new and improved mixture different from the original? You might ask. Chanel No. 5 has got a musky, rich and deeply poignant scent, while No. 5 L’Eau is a bit more light and refreshing with notes like jasmine, ylang-ylang, and cedarwood, PopSugar reports. Because the original blend served as inspiration for the revised interpretation, the two do have some things in common. According to Refinery29, both scents contain May flower, which is the star ingredient in the classic No. 5 scent, thus capturing the essence yet still transforming it with other unique notes.

If this sounds like it's right up your alley, then I have some good news for you. Chanel No. 5 L’Eau launches in September 2016, just in time for fall. And what better way to embrace a new season than with a fresh new fragrance?

The bottle design is so gorgeous.

Now let's compare with the original No. 5.

L’Eau certainly looks the part of a lighter, cleaner version, doesn't it?

Just picture how pretty this would look on your vanity.

Is it September yet?
