Allison Williams Gets Hair Inspiration From Disney

by Sienna Fantozzi

The struggle of growing out bangs is seriously real, but there's a creative (and actually pretty cute) solution for getting through that awkward phase. Allison Williams's hairstyle channeled The Little Mermaid , according to People, and it's totally making "The Ariel Bang" happen. Seriously, it's way more chic IRL than it was in the cartoon.

Forget bobby pins and headbands, because thanks to Williams's latest Instagram, there's a much cuter way to grow out your bangs and deal with that in between stage. You know what I'm talking about — when they're too long to be actual bangs, but not long enough to blend in with your layers. Yeah, it's not cute. But it totally is on her.

The actor, who is growing out her bangs, posted a selfie to Instagram, and she's clearly rocking an Ariel-style bang in it. The bangs are side-swept and pouffed, á la the Disney princess, which helps to give the bangs some volume, so they aren't just laying flat (and too long) on her forehead. But the best part? She totally admitted she was channeling The Little Mermaid, writing on the post "New goal: The Ariel Bang." If anyone can make this bang actually happen, it's totally her.

So cute, right? And there's nothing awkward about it at all.

She pretty much #NailedIt. In case you forgot what her bangs looked like, this was Williams with her fringe:

And she's tried out a few different styles while trying to grow them out, like pulling them back:

Pinning them to the side:

And partying them in the middle and sweeping them off to the sides, like a Brigitte Bardot inspired bang.

But I think her Ariel bang is the best trick yet.
