It might be a cliche question, but most folks are curious nonetheless: how do adult performers have sex on camera for a living and maintain a satisfying romantic relationship at the same time? According to certain actresses in a new WoodRocket video where porn stars talk about their relationships, the answer is: "quite well."
The idea of your partner stripping down and lubing up for thousands to see might not go down easy if your chosen form of coupling is purely one-on-one. However, if your arrangement is a bit more flexible — like many of the porn performers interviewed in this video — it's a little easier to imagine. Some are into consensual non-monogamy, while others may be monogamous with their partners but have an understanding that there's "a difference between sex and intimacy" as Missy Martinez explains. After all, it is just a job.
On the other hand, porn "makes it so much more difficult to be in a relationship" says April O'Neil, and, perhaps more to the point, "porn's a bitch to have relationships in," admits Trinity St. Clair. And like anyone with a unique job (soldier or touring musician comes to mind), it's a hell of a lot easier if your partner is in the same industry.
