L'Wren Scott Is Headed To Banana Republic

Banana Republic, you fancy! The retailer will collaborate with L'Wren Scott for a limited edition capsule collection this holiday season. The pieces will be available December 5 online and in stores, with apparel ranging from $39.50 to $165 and accessories (like the above purse) running from $39.50 to $198.

High-end designers making capsule collections is nothing new, but it's the first time Scott has made her pieces affordable. Still, Banana Republic isn't really the most obvious store for Scott's retail debut. After all, the designer is known for her ultra-sexy designs, while Banana Republic is known for their blouses and workplace separates. Scott explains that her collection will "combine the ultra-feminine with wearable polish and will bring a sexy confidence to consumers." Translation: Scott's collection will be conservative, but still sexy, because, hey, who says you have to choose?
