This Olympic Medal Will Make You Do A Double Take
The makeup world has been seriously upping its game with the packaging and design of products. So much so, in fact, that the first image of the 2016 Rio Olympics Bronze Medal was mistaken for a highlighter by some people on social media, according to Teen Vogue. After seeing the image, you'll know exactly why. There are plenty of highlights out there with the same type of bronzed-up glow, but unfortunately this isn't one of them.
I won't even lie, I had to a double take when I saw the official Olympics Instagram image. Not only does the peachy golden color look similar to Jaclyn Hill x Becca's Champagne Pop, but the packaging is phenomenal. Bottom line: there's a lot to be confused about, especially if your a beauty lover.
I guess makeup's always on the brain for some people. When beauty lovers see this kind of perfect shine, they only think one thing — highlighter. I blame the full-face highlighter challenges and all the amazing products out there for this one. Companies like Too Faced have been stepping up their makeup game with their products and packaging, so it only makes sense why some people could be confused by this image. Go ahead and take a good look.
Everything about this would make a fabulous highlighter. Plus the twist off packaging? Yes, please! Here are some of the best reactions to all the medal meets makeup confusion.
It's an honest mistake, really.
People just expect makeup companies to blow their mind now.
Can you just imagine if the Olympics had their own makeup line?
We'd all buy this gorgeous face shine.
