The 2014 Oscars' Best Beauty Looks

The 2015 Oscars didn't inspire shockingly bold choices in fashion or makeup, but it certainly did seem to give a number of actresses a warm glow. With the help of some very talented makeup artists, this year's top actresses graced the red carpet in looks that accented, not overpowered, their natural beauty. We're taking notes on how to achieve the radiant skin and better-than-nude makeup looks we saw all over the red carpet this year.

Lupita Nyong'o

Not only is Lupita a powerhouse, Academy Award-winning actress, she also knows how to rock a radiant look. Her Oscars makeup was pure luminosity, from a subtly highlighted cheek to her pastel-shadowed eyes. A slick of pale pink gloss finished off her glowing look. Oh, and that headband!

Sandra Bullock

Her gown may have been understated, but Sandra Bullock’s emerald smoky eye was anything but. Bullock went for voluminous lashes and golden shadow, accented by a smudged line of golden green pencil on her lower lash line.

Emma Watson

Emma Watson’s Vera Wang ensemble was amped up to red carpet status by her glamorous red lipstick and accentuated lashes. The actress modernized the classic look by keeping her makeup matte, and adopting a dramatic side part for her mussed updo.

Naomi Watts

Glowing skin and a deep pink lip added extra glamour to Naomi Watt’s elegant Calvin Klein gown.

Kerry Washington

As if her beautiful Jason Wu gown weren’t enough, Kerry Washington’s deep burgundy lip and subtly contoured cheeks made the mom-to-be even more lovely.

Jessica Biel

We don’t think Jessica Biel has the capacity to look anything less than gorgeous, but her subtle nude and pink makeup palette accents the actress’s natural beauty in the best way.

Anna Kendrick

We’re more than a little in love with Anna Kendrick’s Oscars makeup, from the subtle coral lip to her mesmerizing silver eyeshadow.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson may be known for her incandescent complexion and obsession with smoldering makeup, but this grey smoky eye is a new milestone in gorgeous makeup for the actress.

Margot Robbie

To complement her new, darker locks, Margot Robbie went with a deep mauve lip and subtly shaded eyes.

Chrissy Teigen

Perhaps it’s just her newlywed glow, but we’re inclined to think a makeup artist had a least a little something to do with the model’s glowing skin and sparkling eyes.
