'The Daily Show's New Correspondent: Another UCBer

by Alanna Bennett

If you somehow had any doubt that UCB was taking over the comedy world, doubt no more, because yet another UCBer is bursting onto the scene: The Daily Show 's new correspondent Jordan Klepper's a UCB alum, because of course he is. So I guess it's time to learn a little bit more about Jordan Klepper. Were you already jealous enough of Jessica Williams, who is only 24 and already one of the best parts of The Daily Show? She's also a UCB alum, because of course she is. Klepper will join Williams — as well as fellow correspondents Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Aasif Mandvi, Al Madrigal, and recurring contributors Larry Wilmore, Kristen Schaal, John Hodgman, and Lewis Black. His first night will be Monday, March 3.

Some fun facts about Klepper: He's got a short film headed to SXSW with his wife, Laura Grey (the logline is "A couple fears they are being watched and find it impossible to eat soup."); he's been with UCB for about three years, working with the team The Stepfathers and with a sketch show Baggage with his wife; he has a post on his Tumblr called "Kanye West penis locations according to the album Yeezus," which seems culturally relevant; he appears to be a white male, which I'm sure will be the topic of a few think-pieces; you can see his face, next to his wife's face, in the picture above, which is a screenshot from their web series Engaged.

Congratulations, Jordan Klepper! May the laughs be with you, and Jon Stewart/Jezebel be kind. Amy Poehler must be so proud.
