These New Eye Stencils Will Perfect Your Cat Eyes

by Marlen Komar

Ever spent an eye-twitching 15 minutes perfecting your cat-eye, only to end up with serious junior high emo peepers? The sense of failure when you pour makeup remover on a handful of cotton balls is real, but Beth Bender Beauty's Eye Candy stencils might change all that.

According to Popsugar, "The adhesive stickers were made to create the perfect angled shape on your eyelids and eliminate errors made by free-handing. Unlike other templates that require holding a tool over your lid with your hands, these stencils adhere to your skin so your fingers are completely free." So basically, you just pop the sticker on your eyelid, color in the cat eye, and go. It's foolproof.

This could mean we never have to fumble about and spend precious getting-ready time scrubbing and starting over again. The best part about these cat eye stencils, however, is that they're so versatile. They reportedly fit any eye shape, and it's up to the wearer to decide how thick or thin to make the line, as well as what color to rock.

Seventeen reported, "All you do is pop one of them on your eye, creating a thin or thick space for applying makeup. This determines how thick your liner will be. Then, you just fill in the space with whatever colors you want and remove the stencil."

If you want a retro, chunky wingtip, you simply adhere the stencil higher on your eyelid. If you're in the mood for a subtle flick, on the other hand, just place it lower to your lash line. While your go-to tool for cat eyes might be liquid eyeliner, you can also experiment with glitters or different eyeshadow palettes, making for some really cool going-out looks.

Whether you choose to amp up your eyeliner with a hot pink shade or do an ombré rainbow effect, the end result will be a lot easier (and less headache-inducing) than trying to freehand the look yourself.

The product is truly handy, since "the hypoallergenic strips are disposable and come in a soft paper-like material to prevent irritation," and "the material of the stencils will also catch any fall-out product, so you won't have to worry about getting excess makeup all over your face," as reported by Popsugar. Sounds like perfection, right?

So how much will a miracle product like this set us back? Not much, actually. According to Seventeen, "The stencils retail for $9.99 for 14 sets (28 total), and $19.99 for 36 sheets (72 total)."

That's a pretty small price to pay for the perfect winged eyeliner, if you ask me. If you're interested, you can get them at Beth Bender Beauty now. Get ready to completely change your makeup game.
