Cory Monteith's Best Performances on 'Glee'

by Kate Ward

Cory Monteith was hardly Glee's best singer. The actor, who was trained as a drummer, could never land notes like real-life girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele, or dance like more trained cast members like Darren Criss or Jonathan Groff.

But the 31-year-old Monteith — who died Saturday in a hotel room in Vancouver — still had that x-factor, allowing him to thrive for five seasons on Glee as Finn Hudson, the dumb jock with a heart of gold. The trained drummer (who auditioned with tupperware) was charming in his delivery, and still delivered many memorable musical moments, regardless of his lack of training.

Remember Monteith with these great performances, and remember that it didn't require an eight-octave range for audiences to fall for the artist also known as Finn Hudson. Monteith simply just had it.

"No Air"

"I'll Stand By You"

"Hello I Love You"

"We Are the Champions"

"A House Is Not a Home"

"One"

"Losing My Religion"

"Man In the Mirror"

"The Scientist"

And, of course, the song that started it all for Monteith:
