Yes, this is actually happening. Victoria Beckham and Estee Lauder are collaborating on a makeup collection. The brand shared a sneak peek of the range and it's as sleek and as chic as any of Beckham's signature designs. It's classic and classy, like Beckham. So don't expect trendy, "here today, gone tomorrow" products or shades. Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder is a grown up makeup mashup. It's limited edition and the designer and former Spice Girl was intricately involved in the process, saying, "I had long admired Estee Lauder the woman, and the powerful brand that she created, so I am excited to offer both of our customers this makeup range and play a small part in her vision for women." When will the VB x EL products be available and where?
Here's the scoop. The Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder Collection will cruise on EsteeLauder.com and VictoriaBeckham.com, as well as into Bergdorfs and Selfridges, on September 13. Go ahead and program a reminder in your iCal now. I'll wait.
What's in the collection? The glossy, black and gold packaging is stunning, as are the shades encased within. I see bronzer, an eyeshadow palette, rich lipstick shades, and much, much more. It's neutrals done right.
Wow, right? Everything, from the presentation to the pigments, is utterly lovely. Again, if you are about glitter or crazy contouring or new product innovations, then this line probably isn't for you. But if you are ISO wearable investment products that you will use until you hit pan and that you can use all of the time, and this collection should serve you well.
Blend it like Beckham! OMG, Posh does her own makeup? She does it so well. If you dig her signature smudgy, smoky eye x nude lip x dewy skin look, you can totally replicate it with her products.
Beckham told WWD that VB x EL is comprised of "must-have items that I felt everybody should have in their makeup bag, things that are really quite difficult to find because I know, I've searched." So her collection is beautiful and utilitarian. Prices fall in the $30 to $45 range, as well.
Estee Lauder is sidestepping the insanely popular trend of makeup brands collaborating with digital influencers on brand new products in favor of an established, beloved former pop star and stellar designer. Both collab styles are awesome. It's just nice for we, as customers, to have a range of options.
