The VMAs Weren't The Same Without T. Swift's Style

by Kali Borovic

There was one major celeb missing from the red carpet at the VMAs. Taylor Swift skipped the 2016 VMAs red carpet, as did many of her friends. Her social media doesn't show exactly what she's doing instead though. From her past looks, I can only imagine that she would have completely killed it style-wise if she was there.

The VMAs just don't seem right with Swift missing them. There were multiple rumors that she wouldn't show after not being nominated for an award or being asked to perform. Unfortunately, it looks like those rumors were true. After seeing the rest of her gang of loyal Swifters walking the red carpet, I was convinced that she'd make a late appearance and surprise us all, but I guess not.

She's always the one to watch out for on red carpets, when it comes to style. It's like there's a giant fashion void at the VMAs. What ever will we do without memes of her outfits or GIFs of her dancing throughout everyone's performances? We didn't do anything to deserve this kind of treatment, Swift!

All harsh feelings aside, I guess we still have a whole slew of past outfits to focus on. After all, she did completely kill it every single time she stepped onto the red carpet. Here are is single one of her VMA looks to hold you over until next year.

1. Cropped Separates

This look was one of my personal favorites. So edgy and trendy, which was a complete surprise from the star.

2. Super Leggy

Legs. For. Days.

3. Sleek & Simple

Then there was the time she showed up looking as elegant as ever.

4. Completely Classic

Another one of her elegant yet edgy looks.

5. All White

The all-white suit was different than anything she's worn before.

6. Toga-esque

Nothing too bold, but still gorgeous.

7. Pink & Precious

Her very first VMAs were all about keeping it sweet and simple.

She's come a long way since her very first awards show. I just wish I could've seen her this year as well.
