Jaden Smith's 2016 VMAs Outfit Was All About Prints — PHOTOS
There aren't very many people who can completely surprise fans with every single outfit, but this star is one of them. Taking animal print to a whole new level, Jaden Smith wore a cat printed jacket to the VMAs. You never know what the 18-year-old will sport next, but one thing is for sure, he always stays true to himself.
Smith has spoken out about gender fluidity when it comes to dressing many times in the past, and his VMAs outfit just further proves that he wears whatever he damn well pleases. The star stepped out onto the red carpet wearing a long, color-blocked jacket with a mesh top with writing on it underneath that. He paired the jacket with black pants and matching hued sneakers. Think of every item of clothing you could possibly wear and put it all into one outfit, and there you have it. I have to admit though, it did look pretty darn cool on him.
The sartorial star of the show was Smith's mixed print jacket. It was a hodge podge of brown, white, and blazer material mixed with a cat print skirt-like bottom. Yup. Smith wore black, white, and tan cats on the bottom of his long jacket. Honestly, you just need to see this head-to-toe look for yourself, because it was a work of art.
He's constantly wearing the most unexpected looks, and I love it.
Here's a better look at all the different prints that went into his jacket. So many patterns, but somehow they all work.
And, of course, an up-close look at his signature hair.
I love that he constantly stays true to himself.
