Hey ladies! Want a new beauty tip from a star? Shailene Woodley sunbathes her lady parts. There. Now you know what you've been forgetting to do at the beach for all of these years. The feisty 22-year-old Divergent star told Into The Gloss her beauty secrets (girl's really into au naturel stuff). Her words?
Another thing I like to do is give my vagina a little vitamin D. [Laughs] I was reading an article written by an herbalist I studied about yeast infections and other genital issues. She said there’s nothing better than vitamin D. If you’re feeling depleted, go in the sun for an hour and see how much energy you get. Or, if you live in a place that has heavy winters, when the sun finally comes out, spread your legs and get some sunshine.
So women, if you're sad...your vagina needs to get some SUN! But wouldn't a sunburn down there...uh...hurt? But apparently, Woodley attested to the fact that this spin on your old school sunbathing (you know, altering your routine by removing your bikini) can ward of yeast infections. So maybe it's time to ditch that Activia yogurt in exchange for some nude beaches! Jamie Lee Curtis, we apologize wholeheartedly.
Woodley also mentioned that likes to ingest clay ("it helps clean heavy metals out of your body"), oil-pulling (swishing coconut or sesame oil around in your mouth — apparently it makes your teeth whiter), and that on the whole, she likes natural ways to heal.
She's totally become our new star BFF, and her career is surely about to take off in a major way with Divergent, and The Fault In Our Stars this June. As she gains more ubiquity in Hollywood, we'll surely get to hear more of her pro tips, although it's unlikely that she'll launch a trend of vag-sunbathers. That usually takes a boldness that only a Divergent star could muster.
