Lady Gaga Skipped The Emmys

I hate to the bearer of bad news, but if you haven't been watching the Emmys, you might not know that Lady Gaga skipped the 2016 Emmys. Sadly, a gorgeous appearance from the multi-talented, multi-faceted trendsetting star didn't happen, much to everyone's disappointment. I'm sure she had a really good reason, but I think everyone can agree that having her at tonight's show would've made the event 100 times more exciting.

The reason everyone speculated Lady Gaga's appearance at the 2016 Emmys was because of her huge nomination. Sure, she may not have been nominated for her killer role on American Horror Story (which many people were sour about), but she was recognized for her incredible song, "Til It Happens To You." In fact, the powerful ballad is now the first song in history to have been nominated for an Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy. Way to go, Lady Gaga.

According to Lady Gaga's Instagram, she is hard at work in the studio with music producer extraordinaire Mark Ronson on the other side of the country. The musician posted a photo of her with Mark Ronson, and captioned the photo: "Mastering the album w @iammarkronson Sterling Studios!" A quick google search will reveal that Sterling Studios is in New York City, not Los Angeles. Womp womp.

While it is a bummer that she didn't show up to the Hollywood awards show, it is great news that she is working on her new album.

It's not 100 percent confirmed that she is currently at work in the studio; however, she did post a tweet yesterday that stated she was in New York.

She also wished the entire American Horror Story cast and crew good luck via social media.

I'm sad I didn't get to see a Lady Gaga red carpet ensemble, but I'm stoked about her new music. You win some, you lose some — in this case, I think Lady Gaga fans are going to come out winners!
